I'm the darkest figure in the night.
the hateful shadow born of broken pride.
I'm the darkest figure in the night.
Destroying everything you hold in light.
The bonds we share, we share in ruin.
Effort diminishing.
Slowly fading into nothing
The bonds we share, we share in ruin.
Effort diminishing.
Slowly fading into nothing
Swallow that grudge of yours in disgust.
I know it leaves a sour taste inside your mouth.
Swallow that hate of yours in disgust.
I know it leaves a grotestque beating in your heart.
I'VE BEEN STARING AT NOTHING
AS IF SOMETHING TRULY EXISTS
LOST IN A SLIGHT FADE OF MY OWN DISGUSTING CONSCIOUSNESS
AS IF SOMETHING WAS REAL IN THIS HOPELESS ABYSS
YOU TELL ME ITS REAL AS YOU LIE THROUGH YOUR LIPS.
LIE THROUGH YOUR LIPS.
Letting go of the poison in my lungs.
Letting go of the shadow that lead me on.
I'd give up everything having nothing left to give.
Tear me away.
I don't belong in the darkness anymore.
Tear me away.
Bathe me in the light so I can be restored.
THE FEELING OF FAILURE.
THE FEELING OF LOSS.
I'VE WATCHED MY EVERYTHING BREAK DOWN AND DISSOLVE.
It will never be worth it.
Throwing shade on who you are.
It will never be perfect.
Moving forward with these scars.
I'm the darkest figure in the night.
the hateful shadow born of broken pride.
I'm the darkest figure in the night.
Destroying everything you hold dear in light.
Letting go of the poison in my lungs.
Letting go of the shadow that lead me on.
I'd give up everything having nothing left to give.
Tear me away.
I don't belong in the darkness anymore.
Tear me away.
Bathe me in the light so I can be restored.
I will bury all bright things you love.
And I will shadow all that you believe.

Not a fan of the new album but this Polaris album is just what I love about metalcore. Saw them live in CH last year and on stage they are amazing. If you're new to Polaris (doubt it) start here ! sachavonkarl74

Realistically, I should have bought this album after the first 100 scrobbles of In Reach (Out of Touch), but it's never too late to do the right thing. This has a different atmosphere (and story) than The Lost City, but it's just as good and just as melodic. porcelainheart-
