You should be ashamed.
For treating your brothers this way.
Discard me like a rat in the trash,
And take my pride because its all I have.
Draw your guns at me.
Kill the believer, but not what he believes.
You could never take my faith away.
I'll take my love and ideals to the grave.
You could never take my faith away.
Hiding behind your guilt and shame.
I will not fade into nothing.
I will not waste away with you.
We tell each other good night
just to backstab each other in broad daylight.
A thousand times we claim to love.
We are but souls bathed in guilt and ruin.
Under a loathsome dark influence.
Torn and bruised by circumstance.
But in the end you had your chance.
You had your chance to be more than worthless
You could never take my faith away.
I'll take my love and ideals to the grave.
You could never take my faith away.
Hiding behind your guilt and shame.
I will not fade into nothing.
I will not waste away with you.
Maybe,
Just maybe,
If we invest in each others time...
These disgusting things that make us human,
Will perish from within us.
Not a fan of the new album but this Polaris album is just what I love about metalcore. Saw them live in CH last year and on stage they are amazing. If you're new to Polaris (doubt it) start here ! sachavonkarl74
Midwestern prog-metal stalwarts go for the throat on their new EP, featuring a roiling cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' “1979.” Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2019
Realistically, I should have bought this album after the first 100 scrobbles of In Reach (Out of Touch), but it's never too late to do the right thing. This has a different atmosphere (and story) than The Lost City, but it's just as good and just as melodic. porcelainheart-
